Christmas Cookies

Dailey and I decorated Christmas cookies today. Becca was supposed to work today, but the weather forecast wasn't looking great, so she stayed home. I bought a painting drop cloth and a table cloth to save my carpet and table from colored sugar - Thank Goodness! Dailey is such a fun age. All of her cookies were "beautiful". She kept telling us that over and over. It was great! We had so much fun. Merry Christmas to all!

Our Tree

For the first time EVER, Travis and I decided to put up a "fake" Christmas Tree. It is beautiful! We had a wonderful weekend wrapping presents and decorating the tree.
Dailey told me "Aunkie, tree beautiful". It must look ok! I got approval from the 2 year old. :)
She has renamed me from Auntie to Aunkie. Not sure...She calls my sister Money rather than Mommy and decided today that she wanted to be called Diego - not Dailey. Crazy girl!

Rest and Relaxation

I made it home from Hawaii. I had nothing short of a fabulous time mostly spent laying on the beach doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! That was my whole purpose for the trip, to relax and spend time with my family. I was very surprised to come home to 24 degree weather, I guess that means vacation is over for now. I really did miss my "kids", but stocked up on a few great Christmas presents for them while I was there.
Honesltly, I didn't take my camera out until I was heading home, so the few pictures that I have were taken from my phone. Oops, that's the whole purpose of having a camera, oh well.

Thursday Overnight Adventure

So last night was our first overnighter with both girls. All in all it was a great night. Skylee had a bit of a cry (screaming session) during the evening and woke up every two hours to eat but she's so dang cute that neither one of us minded too much. Dailey was our entertainer for the evening. Somehow she found some Dora wrapping paper and wrapped herself up in it. The only catastrophe with her was that she fell out of bed in the night. Yikes, she was really upset, but after walking around holding her for a while, she fell back asleep and slept the rest of the night. It couldn't have been too bad on her because she didn't remember it this morning. I took a few pictures on my phone so they aren't wonderful but I thought I'd share them anyways.

Dailey loves to get up and go straight to the bathtub. Her hair is really crazy, but it's a cute picture. :)

We Survived Vegas!

Vegas was a BLAST last weekend! A bit of a whirlwind, but fun as always! I've posted some pictures but thought I'd spare you of the fine details.......Perhaps I don't remember the fine details. Hmmmmm. :)

Thursday night we went to see the Zac Brown Band at Freemont. It was a great concert and we were able to meet the band. Can't wait for their CD to come out on Nov. 18th!

Friday was Halloween and it was CRAZY! We didn't dress up but believe me, we saw everything. It was crazy. I did however wear a mask in a cab ride at one point. The cabby said that he'd take our picture if one of us would wear the mask. Why wouldn't I, we got all got a great laugh out of it!

Saturday was the race. Eric did awesome, a little bit of bad luck came his way, but other than that it was great. Afterwards we went out on the town and had a great time.

And next....Hawaii!

Next month my Grandma Dorothy and I are going to visit my aunt in Maui. When my Grandpa passed away last month, I asked Grandma if she would like to go. She did - but didn't want to fly by herself so I thought I would be the perfect chapperone. My family all went in on a plane ticket for her and we are off. Grandma will be staying much longer then me, I unfortunately have to come home and work. I wasn't necessarily planning on going so soon, but it all worked out. So off we go! I can't wait...Beaches, water, sunscreen - here we come!

2 More Weeks!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!! As many of you may already know...Travis and I LOVE VEGAS! We are very fortunate to be able to go as often as we have the past few years. Travis is heading down to help a friend of ours at a race. Actually Travis will go two weekends this month and I will go for one of the weekends. My friends Becky and Kristin will be coming along for the ride. We can't wait.

Snuggle Bug

Dailey was (I think) 4 days old in this picture. I was thinking that Dailey was so little in the next picture. She's just a peanut here. You'll notice that she has always snuggled up to Travis in the same place on his chest. - so precious. This photo was taken on 08-27-2007............Just a little tiny Dailey sound asleep with her Uncle. Last night Dailey insisted on staying at our house overnight - surprise surprise.....After she fell asleep on my lap, Travis wanted to hold her and cuddle her. She's usually like trying to wrestle a steer to get to cuddle, so we take any chance we can get when she's sleeping. I can't believe how big she's getting. Oh, and she's a little CRAZY these days!

All up in my business

My time with Skylee never comes uninterrupted. Dailey as I like to say "is all up in my business" anytime I try to sneak in a few minutes with the baby. Last Sunday she thought it was SO funny to take Skylee's pacifier. Well if the truth be known, I think it's funny too because Dailey looks hilarious with it in her mouth. I try to keep reminding Dailey that when she was a baby nobody pestered us constantly. :) I have so much fun with the girls right now. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Dinner with the girls......

So last night, Becca invited us over for dinner. I was trying to help out by feeding Skylee her bottle while we were eating. Dailey was having NO part of this. She convinced Becca that she was "done" with her dinner so that she could get out of her chair. She instantly ran over to my lap and climbed up. I tried to feed Skylee and eat and give Dailey the attention that she was obviously asking for from me.
Becca took Skylee from me and Dailey and I continued to eat off of my plate. For some reason Dailey ended up getting Skylee's bottle. I wasn't really paying much attention as to what she was doing, but when she sprayed the bottle (full of MILK....if you know what I mean, not formula) all over my plate, dinner was over for both of us.
As gross as it was, it really gave us all a good laugh!

Crazy Weekend

We had a crazy weekend filled with family and friends. Friday night Becky and I started out going for dinner and ended up closing the town down. Saturday Becky and I hung out with Dailey and Skylee. Saturday night, Dailey was NOT letting me leave her house without her. So with no hesitation, she came and stayed the night. Poor Travis, three nights in the spare bed. He doesn't mind.

Could she sit any closer to him? Pretty cute. Fresh out of bed. :)

Sunday was Kylee's suprise 16th birthday party and she got a car! It was great fun to see her be so excited about her car. She had no clue that she was getting it. Dailey went to the party with us too, so she thought that she was pretty cool "driving" Kylee's car!
Sunday night Travis enjoyed taking Kylee for a drive to teach her how to drive a stick. She caught on pretty quickly.

When do I get car?

And there it is! It really is a great little car for her.

Logan turns 10!

Last night we had Logan's 10th birthday party at our house. We had a great time although Travis wasn't able to be there because he had to work.
The best part of the night was when Dailey kept blowing Logan's candles out. We all got a good laugh out of it.
The boys played wii and Skylee slept. It was a very enjoyable night. I can't believe that Logan is 10.....He's growing up so fast.

Dailey was a big helper putting all of the candles on the cake. Then of course, blowing them out.

Auntie and Uncle -again!

The last few years of our married life have put things all into perspective for us. We have learned what is important in life - faith, family, good friends and most importantly, eachother. We've also learned not to sweat the small stuff.

Travis and I have been blessed with many important children in our lives. We like to say that they are "ours" but really they are our siblings children. We have three (as of yesterday!) nieces, three nephews and two little brothers. I wanted to share a photo of each of them so you will know who in the heck we're talking about - that will probably be the excitement of our "blogging".

Dailey and Skylee. Skylee was born just yesterday. Dailey will be 2 next month. She is Auntie's girl. Soon Skylee will be following in her footsteps. Here's Logan (my 9 year old brother).....He's the kid with all the heart in this bunch. He spends so much time caring for others. And he's hilarious too.

Poor Landon....My other brother. He broke his leg really bad a few weeks ago. As much as he hates (as we all do) having a broken leg, he loves being waited on. :)

Trey and Tanner....I'm guessing their mother had them hold the signs. They are two of our nephews that constantly have us laughing. Trey and Logan are in the same class this year (as they have always been) - poor teacher :) Kody the 6'2" (137 pound) freshman. He is the athlete of the bunch. Kody was even able to go to Japan to play baseball in August. Lucky kiddo!

And here's our beautiful niece Kylee. I'm not going to kid you - I got the picture off of her myspace. haha. She will be 16 in a week. I can't believe she's going to be driving.

And so my hubby and I don't get left out....Here we are!
